DESCRIPTION:Please Come Join Us\, Bring Your Friends!!!!! \nWe will be meeting in a new location!!! \nThe Rainbow Ridge LGBTA Democratic Caucus \n May 16\, 2023\, 6:30 to 8:30 pm at  \nThe Colon Bakery/Restaurant \n42 Maxcy Plaza Cir\, Haines City Fl  \nMembers are encouraged to order off the menu.\nHelp support those that support us. \nGuest Speaker\nOctavio Hernandez \nTeacher and GSA Advisor \nGay–Straight Alliance\, Gender-Sexuality Alliance or Queer–Straight Alliance.\n A student-led or community-based organization\, found in schools\, colleges\, and universities. \nGSAs have evolved beyond their traditional role to serve as safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth in middle schools and high schools\, and have emerged as vehicles for deep social change related to racial\, gender\, and educational justice. \nGSA has a positive and lasting effect on student health\, wellness\, and academic performance. It can also protect students from harassment based on sexual orientation or gender identity\, and improve school climates for all students in the long-term.
